The Sick House

This will be short! I have the flu - found out at 12:30. Abbie had a feveral siezure at 1:45. We went to the ER at Hendrix and stayed until 8:15. She has the flu, an ear infection, and a bladder infection. She's getting meds and I'm trying to stay awake. Mimi is staying the night so maybe I can sleep through the next throw-up and bed change.

Kenny's coughing - I'm thinking tomorrow might be his day! Yeah!

Jim is good - so far.

Thanks for everyone's prayers - I'll post soon about the funny side of the entire experience.

Praying for a restful night and for Kenny and Jim to have very strong immune systems. Sorry it has been such a terrible day!

We are praying for your family! We love ya'll. It is a weird feeling being on the other end of sickness, this week with Kase being in the hospital and now Abbie, there is a feeling of helplessness when your friends kids are sick. When Jack was in the hospital I was there for all of it, and I knew what was going on every step of the way. This side of the picture is not easy at all!

So sorry to hear that you've been struck by all of this "yuck" going around! I want to wear a mask every day at school...and I keep spraying my room with Lysol (the good smelling kind!). Bless your heart, Denise...and I feel so sorry for Abbie! Hope you both bounce back quickly and that Kenny ISN'T coming down with it and that Jim stays healthy! Take care and may God heal you all quickly! Thoughts and prayers! Gwen White

Sorry to hear you are not well and hope you get better soon. Jonathan had some kind of intestinal infection last week and looked so pitiful--so subdued! It's amazing how fast kids can bounce back, though. I'm nursing a cold and it gets me down worse than he was. We're still trying to get both our boys over the malaria--Maureen has taken them for another blood test now. On the last test, Jonathan didn't throw a fit! Thank God for small victories.

Hope everyone is MUCH better!

Tammy, THANK YOU for saying it -- you people are wearing me out! :-) I just can hardly keep up with all the sick kids, and I don't know who to freak out about first or most! YIKES!

Oh -- and now I'm home with a sick one! :-)

Get to feeling better! We are coming to visit later this month. You ought to get the doctor to prescribe you some "amantadine" for Kenny and Jim. It will make the flu last a shorter amount of time. Call me if you have any questions!
