I Love Being A Girl

Actual conversation:

Me: Why are your pajamas wet? Did you pee-pee on them?

4-year-old: Noooooo. They are okay (loves her new pjs)

Me: But they're wet. Are you sure you didn't pee-pee on them?

4-year-old: (coyly) I fell in.

Me: What's rule #1?

4-year-old: But somtimes Bubba forgets to put the seat down.

Me: That's why we always check first.

Oh well, can't say I have never fallen in either! :)

We haven't even gotten to that rule with out girls. Glen ALWAYS puts the seat down, but I can just imagine when Jude learns to use the potty that THAT will happen. That is so cute though that it is a "rule" in your house. I think I'll tell the girls about it today!! No telling what they will say! HA!

That's too funny. Luckily Kirk always puts the seat down, but Dylan on the other hand, we'll see about him. He JUST started using the potty YESTERDAY! It was a big day in this house! Just woke up that morning "ready". Not one accident the whole day, or today! I thought this day would never come with this child.

I consider it one of my primary maternal responsibilites to teach A. to put the seat down. If I had a nickel for everytime I've "fallen in" in the middle of the night...oh, mercy. :-)

I wish my husband's mama had taught him to put the seat down. I've had a few wet pjs incidents myself!
