Tuesday Tune

I thinking (last night when I couldn't sleep) that we need a little music of the season! So for the rest of the month I will post YouTube videos with various Christmas songs. I love this song even though it starts out a sad. I really wish I was singing with these people, in a candlelight service, in a huge cathedral, on Christmas Eve, too.

Lovely. There is something so grand as to be in a cathedral with lit candles and a chorus of singers.

Thanks SO much for sharing that video and music with us, Denise. I've been sitting here watching it and feel really in the Christmas spirit.

It's lovely!!

Much love (from Abilene!),

Denise! You're a closet Catholic...

I highly recommend the Church of the Heavenly Rest here in Abilene for a Christmas eve service if you prefer this style of worship. We attended one year and the acoustics in that old stone church are amazing.

Back in the day, I was part of a group of 8 trumpeters who performed a 2-hour concert consisting of classical works within this church. We had as our guest, the principle trumpeter from the Dallas Symphony.

It was a night I'll never forget.

The stonemasons of old knew their craft very well...
