It's Cold and I'm At Home

I decided it was time to sit down and give out some interesting info......

OMGosh! How many of you here in Abilene tried to watch 24 last night? Were you watching the local station? Did you cuss or throw something at the TV when the local Fox station went out??!! Yeah, me too.

Seriously, I've been trying to call the local station or send them an email because I would really like to see the first 2 hours of Jack's 6th adventure. I can't get though and they don't have anywhere on their website to contact them. It feels like a conspiracy to not listen to their public. Maybe I should contact an advertiser? Hmmm? I would have liked to have seen it before I watch the second 2 hours that come on tonight. I'm not sure I can wait. The only good thing to come out of the evening - Jim didn't have to compete Jack Bauer for my attention. My MIL did tape it (she has satellite) so I can watch it - just not now!

Well, we've been in the house now for 3 days. We didn't try to go to church yesterday. Southern Hills was one of the few churches that met yesterday and I feel guilty about not going. I was brought up going to church! We went no matter what. We went "every time the doors were open." How many horrible "gospel meetings" did I sit though growing up? For 5 nights? What were they thinking?
I will say how happy my kids were when we sat around the kitchen table and "had church." They loved sharing a Bible story (Kenny did his Bible Bowl and Abbie told her favorite) and they both chose a song to sing. Then we all held hands and prayed. They were so sweet and happy - grinning the whole time. I plan to keep it as a sweet memory.
Oh. You're wondering.....
Kenny - Read: Aquila and Priscilla Sang: Days of Elijah
Abbie - Told: Mary and Martha Sang: Hosanna and Blue Skies and Rainbows

I guess I should have called and listened in on your church. Days of Elijah just doesn't sound as good solo. I did a Beth Moore catch-up lesson. :)

Oh girl! FOX going out RUINED my night. Poor Glen, he had to put up with my bad attitude all night after that happened. I even got on Suddenlink website and "chatted" with one of their reps about it. They have no idea. It just made me even more mad to talk to someone who has about as much clue as I do about what happened. All that to say that my friend has Dish and I going over there in about an hour to watch last night's show. I actually thought of you last night. Wondering if you were as mad as I was. Don't worry Neesie, we will fill you in Tues.!!!

My husband has never watched 24 and he started watching it with me last night. When the screen went blank, he happily said it was a sign from God that he wasn't supposed to watch anymore TV last night. It had been on a lot yesterday and he's not a big TV fan. This better not happen again during American Idol! Did you see my comment about it on your last post?

Well..I have Dish..so I still got to see it. Nicole told me earlier that she missed it & I was freaking out! I would mad too! I did get to watch...but then spend the rest of the night throwing up & some other things we won't talk about. FUN! But missing 24....I told her that is ALMOST as bad as what I went through!

Hopefully you'll get to see it soon. I hope I am feeling good enough to come to school tomorrow...remember...it IS supposed to be dedicated to Jack. We'll see. =)

Oh & we didn't venture out to church either. The roads out here where we are were really bad..we got out & tested them. Not worth the risk of driving in it. We didn't even do a family church like you guys...so don't feel TOO bad about not going!

It was in the 60's all weekend here. Of course now it has turned colder and the heater at the office has gone out. So I can't gloat too much.
