Junk Food

Can a 4-year-old grow on Mac & Cheese, bread, refried beans, and candy? I'll let you know.

YES! At four, Riley ate those things, but not the refried beans (which are protein AND fiber -- and fat -- but a virtual health food comparitively speaking). And look at him now! He still doesn't eat...

Yes says me (with only children despite what EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY IN-LAWS--as in mother-father-brother-sister-in-la) think. . .and also says my friend Carolyn who has raised four boys, a grandchild, and various and sundry foster kids.

Let me try that comment again. . .I got in such a huff over the most recent Christmas in-law bout of harassment that I didn't speak clearly on the one above.

Yes says me (with only two children) despite what EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY IN-LAWS--as in mother-father-brother-sister-in-law think since they continue to harass me and my bread/meat eating children at EVERY family function about what is not on their plates. . .and also says my friend Carolyn who has raised four boys, a grandchild, and various and sundry foster kids.

How goes the header experimentation?

You forgot two other staples, corn dogs and chips!! They both also like reddi-whip (good dairy product!)

Well Megan's 9 and she seems to be doing fine! Her menu is not much better than that!

Yes! Ben had a diet we called the "white" diet. It was much the same except he would eat chicken and pizza. He grew just fine. At about 12 years of age he added a simple salad and broccoli with cheese to his diet. Now he cooks for himself and tries new things all the time. I think he had sensitive taste buds and just liked bland foods.
