Promises

seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining
to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by
His own glory and excellence.
2 Peter 1:3

I love this promise. Our Father has already given us everything for life and godliness. Glory!

That's one that I have meditated on a lot lately, too!! But you MUST keep going to v. 4: "Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises" (somebody wants to shout 'GLORY'!:-) "so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires." Did you catch it???? We can participate in the divine nature!! He invites us to do just that with his very great and precious promises!!! And when the creator of the universe makes very great and precious promises and invites us to participate in the divine nature -- it will be truly divine. Oh, GLORY, indeed! You have cranked up my soapbox. . . :-)
